Youth Services

Our youth services areas are designed to be a welcoming and safe space for children and families to explore. We have a large collection of children's books and media, ranging from board books and picture books to early readers and chapter books. Our knowledgeable staff is always available to help families find books that match their interests and reading levels.

We also host regular programs and events for children of all ages, including storytimes, craft activities, and STEM workshops. Our programs are designed to be fun and engaging while also helping children develop important literacy and social skills. Visit our Learning Stations for museum-quality exhibits and demonstrations during your library visit. You can also visit the front desk for a prize from the Prize Box.

A weekly visit to the library is a great way to spend time with your child and foster a love of books, reading and learning.  There is no minimum age to apply for a children's library card. Don't forget to mention if this is your child's first visit to the library or first library card. We are always happy to welcome new patrons.

If your child is under age 5, make sure to apply for the Dolly Parton Imagination Library! Through this program, your child will recieve a free book once a month in the mail.

You can keep up with our library's events on our Events or Facebook page.
