Meeting Rooms

Our meeting rooms are designed to accommodate a variety of group sizes, from small study groups to larger community meetings. We also offer free Wi-Fi access to our meeting room users.

Whether you are looking to attend an online class, hold a book club discussion, or conduct a lunch & learn, our meeting rooms offer a convenient and professional setting in downtown Monticello. We are committed to providing our community with quality spaces to support lifelong learning, engagement, and collaboration.

Meeting rooms are available for free for civic, cultural, nonprofit and noncommercial activities. You can book a meeting space up to 3 months in advance. Rooms are booked on a first come, first served basis. Meeting room users must follow library policies, including children's use policies, and cannot disrupt the regular operations of the library. We strive to provide a safe and welcoming space for all members of our community to gather, learn, and share ideas.

Community room

JCPL's community room is our largest event space, and can accommodate up to 50 people.  This room includes a large screen, overhead projector, podium, tables and chairs, and a refrigerator, making it a perfect space for presentations, multimedia events, training, children's activities, receptions, civic and community meetings, meet-and-greets and other large events.

Small meeting room

Our small meeting room offers a comfortable setting for groups of up to 8 people and is an ideal space for board meetings, client and court services, Zoom meetings, clubs and study groups. Projectors and other presentation equipment are available on request.

Tabling

The library has limited space available for tabling. Tabling events would include health screenings, voter registration, surveys, literature distribution and other walk-up events. Tabling events cannot block entryways, cannot be for commercial or for-profit purpose, and cannot disturb patrons' use of the library. Please note that the library has constrained space and may not be able to accommodate all tabling events.

Larger venues

While our small library has limited space available for larger events, we understand the importance of being able to access larger venues and specialized event services. Our knowledgeable staff is happy to provide information and about other event spaces in the county that may suit your needs, including spaces for public, nonprofit, cultural and civic events. If you are interested in learning more about other event spaces in the county, please do not hesitate to contact us.
