 COVID-19

JCPL is open Mondays for curbside service only, and regular hours Tuesday-Saturday.

JCPL is partnering with the Jefferson County Health Department, local government, and medical and scientific experts to help protect our community from COVID-19. Learn the steps we’ve taken to reduce risk:

Building improvements

Improved ventilation. Hospital-quality air filters have been installed in the HVAC system and placed throughout the library to improve air quality.

Open windows. Unless there is significant inclement weather, the library’s windows will be open to facilitate fresh air moving into the building. Please prepare for the library to be a little cooler, warmer or more humid than usual during your visit.

Corsi-Rosenthal boxes. Throughout the library you will find Corsi-Rosenthal filter boxes to help clean the air. These scientifically validated filters can be assembled at home for around $100. Please let the library staff know if you would like an instruction sheet.

Modified hours

The library is curbside-only on Mondays allow access to patrons who need safer services. Patrons may also access the library’s public wi-fi 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from the grounds and parking lot. The library is open for regular hours Tuesday-Saturday. There are no limits to the amount of time spent in the library. Masks, hand sanitizer and educational information are available at the Sanitation Station near the front door.

New services

If you need access to the Internet for school, please contact your school, institution or university; the library may not be able to offer extensions for circulating hotspots.
